Description
A companion novel to The Wednesday Wars, this story follows Doug Swieteck, a self-described “teenage thug” who moves to a small town in upstate New York. Doug faces an abusive father and a brother returning shattered from the Vietnam War. His life changes when he discovers the local library and a collection of John James Audubon’s bird prints, which inspire him to start drawing and seeing the world differently.
